Delegations/Scholars’ Visits to China: 1.
Dr. Elliot Mininberg and Dr. Justine Su visited Shanghai, Nanjing,
Guangzhou, and Beijing, and conducted collaborative training and research
projects with our sister colleges/universities.
Both received honorary professorship from Guangzhou Normal University,
August, 1997. 2.
Angela Lew from the Oviatt Library visited the minority area in Yunan,
China to study the ethnic culture and art, summer, 1997. 3.
Prof. Paul Chow and wife spent a whole semester teaching high school
physics in Zhuhai Special Economic Zone, fall, 1997. 4.
Prof. Li Mingfang took a
field trip to Hangzhou, China in the summer of 1997.
The research project aimed at understanding stakeholder management in
Sino-foreign joint ventures and was supported by a research grant from the
University of Central Queensland. Prof.
Li also explored exchange activities with administrators at Zhejiang University
of Technology and Zhejiang Institute of Public Administration. 5.
Prof. Jeanne Adams visited China with the Curriculum and Instruction
Education Delegation organized by the People-to-People Association, October,
1997. 6.
Prof. Larry Lee visited Nanjing University of Science and Technology to
offer a workshop in management and to discuss the development of joint MBA
program with faculty and administrators at NUST, April, 1998. 7.
Prof. Li Mingfang visited Nanjing University of Science and Technology to
offer a workshop on MBA programs in the U.S. and to discuss the development of
