Development Grant Award: This year’s grant is awarded to Professor Mingfang Li from the Department of Management. Professor Li will use the award money to travel to China to develop collaborative research projects with faculty in the College of Business Administration in Zhejiang University. Chinese
Government Scholarships for CSUN Students: The China Institute selected and recommended Angus McNellis, a graduate student from the Department of Radio/TV/Film, for the Chinese Government Scholarship. He was awarded the full scholarship to study for a one-year as a senior visiting student in the Beijing Film Academy. For the academic year of 2000-2001, the China Institute selected and recommended Bernard Forster, a graduate student from the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, for the Chinese Government Scholarship. He was awarded the full scholarship for a one-year study as a senior visiting student in the Shanghai Teachers University. He will conduct research on China’s Television University system and the Jewish Experience in Shanghai during the Second World War. Special
